Donna McIlwain, Recruitment Coordinator

My name is Donna McIlwain and I'm here to help take care of you. This care comes in many forms. Before you come here, I plan your visit with hotel accommodations, airport transportation, student hosts, and schedule the times of the faculty you will meet with on your visit.

When you are here for your interview, I like to help you feel at home…to find your way around, see that you are housed and well fed and then see that you get on your way home when you're done.

During the regular school year, I'm in the office to take care of the paper work and electronic records, answer the phone and help plan the various activities of the MSTP agenda (monthly meetings, picnic, summer and winter retreats, visits to seminars and conventions, etc). Oh yes, my other duty is to keep the candy dish well stocked for emergencies.

Personally, I am a grandmother of 3 and I have lived here in Cleveland Heights for 3 years. My husband runs the accelerator lab in the material science department here at CWRU. We enjoy doing lots of things together - playing duplicate bridge, camping, ballooning, square dancing and lots more. I especially enjoy the interview season because I get away from the computer to be your tour guide.
